The Medicaid Coverage Gap is making New York's mental health crisis worse and putting the most vulnerable at risk of losing access to the healthcare they need.

Medicaid provides essential health coverage to millions of New Yorkers who need it most – primarily low-income children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Yet, despite the ravages of a years-long pandemic and rising prices, there has been no significant increase in the Medicaid reimbursement rate for years. As a result, pediatricians are forced to turn away low-income children, seniors face dangerously long waits for care, and a growing mental health crisis is overwhelming our hospitals and putting communities at risk.

Add your voice and call on Governor Hochul and New York’s legislators to Close the Medicaid Coverage Gap to address the mental health crisis and ensure New York's children, seniors, and those with disabilities have access to the quality healthcare they need.
